Which do you recommend? Looked @the matco universal kit for $230, idk seems expensive.willing to spend the money for a good one.

There's the Stant, and everything else. Most of the name brand kits are the Stant kit, just rebadged.

The universal kit is expensive, because of all of the included adapters, which add up quickly if you buy them separately.

I have the matco kit and while it works great, the gauge glass (plastic) became difficult to see through. I clean it and put it back in the case after every use too. I had the stant tester that I bought from Carquest and it was great, unfortunately I gave it to a friend since I had 2 testers. I think I gave the wrong one away though.

If you got service **** or domestic car, you can rent them at autozone (Stant brand).

The HF one for $80 can service domestic, ****, and euros.

I found the cooling pressure tester great for finding leaks. Pressurize the system and you can readily spot the leaks in radiators, hoses, etc, without the noise of the engine or moving parts in the way.
