Got a quick questions for some of you experienced electricians. I installed a copper 277 combo device that has a pilot light. It has a few different configurations that you can wire the switch in. I wired mine so that when the single pole switch is on, the pilot is on.

Everything works as it should, however when checking with a voltmeter, I noticed that the switch does have 25Vac still going to the load when off. I'm guessing that the switch has some electronics inside that is causing this, but wanted to ask just to make sure its not defective.

Thanks, Russ

If your reading that voltage w/ a DMM Digital Multi-Meter, your reading "ghost voltages" use a analog meter or a Wiggy & they will go away.

I have seen "ghost" voltages with a DMM before but they are usually in millivolts. This is actually 25 volts. I don't have an analog meter, but there might be one over at dads.
