Cooper hunter mini split ?

I just finished installing a cooper hunter 9000 btu heat pump mini split. In the manual it says that when placed in auto, the unit will maintain temperature per ex-factory setting.
What does this mean.?

I think it is a typo. Probably per factory setting. Mine will head and cool to maintain a setting of approx 65* iirc

Auto mode is often pretty useless from my experience.
