I am plumbing a 45' copper air line from a manifold in the basement by the compressor to the garage for occasional use and i was curious how you secure the pipe going through the wall?

Ive seen wall flanges in black iron, but not exactly sure if the same thing is applicable and how they work. Basically, i just need some way to secure the 1/2" line as it passes through the wall into the garage, where there will be a QD.

After you pass through the wall, just use a 90 to turn the line parallel to the wall and add a few inches of 1/2" before adding the QD.

Use a couple of 1/2" copper wall clamps to secure it on the wall. I would just seal the penetrations with silicon. Although, being that you are passing this from a living space into the garage, you may need to use firestop caulk.

Plumbing supplier should have "stand off clamps" that clamps to the copper and attach via an all thread rod and length you want.
