You guys have anything to say about these boots? Yes I know they're expensive as heck, but with my B width, cheap boots are not an option. If I had a regular width, I'd be all over those Chippewa boots. These Cocorans are interesting because they come in my razor blade width and the color keeps the employers happy that want you to wear an automotive uniform.

I'm pretty sure I was issued a pair of Cocorans, they never fell apart but I probably doubled their weight in Kiwi shoe polish. And they squeaked on linoleum floors.

Cocorans used to be the only boots I wore when black boots were king during my Army years. They are the most durable boots that i've ever owned. The Cocoran jump boots seemed to shine up like no others, so they naturally were my go to for parade boots. For everyday wear, I preferred the comfort of the jungle boots. Over 15 years later, I still have a pair of them kicking around the house.

I don't think they're a bad price for work boots at all. I paid about $200 for my RedWings 8 years ago. A similar model today goes for about $240 at the RedWing store.

In 1968, Army officers had to buy our own uniforms; I bought a pair of the original high top cap toe boots issued to airborne. They had been phased out some years before and I was fortunate to find them. I wore them for thirty years; unfortunately as one ages the arch flattens and the foot gets longer.

In the 1990s, I visited the factory in Martinsburg, PA. and bought another pair of boots and a couple of pairs of shoes from them; still top quality.

Today's Corcoran are made on a different last and in a different style, but you'll love them.

I love the lace to toe style boots. They are more comfortable, they give more support. I have a pair of similar boots from Danner. I have had them for almost 25 years, and they are great. I do not wear them everyday, but there were times when that was all I wore. They are the most comfortable footwear I have ever tried.
Corcoran is well known for their jump boots. I believe they also used to make dress shoes, don’t know if they still do. I would definitely give them a try.

I had a pair of jump boots that I really liked. Had the toes spit shined and ready to go for inspections. They were quite comfortable too. I still have them someplace here at the house, not sure just where they are though. I will have to look them up, I put them "someplace safe" but now I don't recall where that "someplace safe" is.

In my misspent youth, Corcorans were Jump Boots worn with our class A or B dress uniforms but, that was a loong time ago.

Back in the day, the boot linked start out being made by Danner and was one of the first gore tex boots.

It looks like things have changed quite a bit since the Army has switched from black boots to earth brown colors.

I thought the Danners were good cold weather boots but, they were a little on the tall side for my liking. If i remember right there used to be a lower priced version branded matter horns but, many years have passed since then.

Never worn Corcoran so cannot comment on those. Always been a Redwing and Chippewa man myself. The Chippewas are hard to size but I found this to work for sizing for me. If you normally wear a 10D then size down to a 9.5EE. I took someone’s advice and did this and found my Chippewas to fit very well.
