Here is a simple thing anyone can do, it works well and the old piece of hose as a softener slipped over an old welding rod BEFORE you bend it in a hook makes for great hangers, we use several versions of this. Super simple, very moveable. My buildings are mostly steel so I use beam clamps but you can use screws and a flat washer. I have even bent the edges of the washer on occasion to make a keeper. Takes about a minute to make and parts are always on hand, 5/32 or 3/16 works best.

I use a smaller nail in hook....then I take some rope and tie it in a circle, wrap that around the cord and hang it on the hook.
