Enclosed is a photo of the not so standard electrical cord "holder". Why these aren't standard with every tool or appliance with a tail should be criminal. Has there ever been a factory made add on with this feature? Has anyone smarter than me made one?

I've only seen on vacuums, both household & "shop vacs". Most if not all my vacuums have em. While they work ok on some of mine, I don't really care for them to be on other tools. I use velcro ties on everything else.

Quick search shows that you can buy replacement vacuum cords with these notch plugs so that's one solution.

As said 3D printing would be ideal. My guess is that there are no off the shelf replacement plugs with built in notches cause AC cords widely vary in diameter. Of course a design could be made to accommodate different sizes, like a latch, but I can't see people paying more for that feature, at least not many people.
