Cord retainer choke thing

I am trying to swap my yellow cord reel light to the black one. I thought these chokes will come off the cord but they seem fused together. Otherwise they are same size. Does anyone know if I can get one that will slip over a cord ?

Don't understand your question? I don't see a choke in your picture, I see a strain relief, but ones like you illustrate are frequently molded to the device and cord. They are not easily replaced.

A choke is typically an electrical attenuator, not a physical restraint.

Yes. The strain relief. Because The cord broke off the strain relief I was trying to fix swap another light on. Is there anything useful I can make the cord reel into now?
I don’t really use the light as it’s a dim fluorescent tube and was hoping I can put a led light on the end of the cord.

Better to buy a new light. The molded strain reliefs don't like to be modified.

Alright. As you can see I got my miles out of the yellow light. I kind of butchered the other cfl work light with black cord and feel like throwing it out also.

I put a new cord receptacle so it became a extension cord reel. It’s really handy now
