I would get a good corded drill. Every time I use a cordless I am disappointed as they seem to go dead half way through a job.
I use a 700 watt inverter if I need to use one away from power. Seldom used batteries will not last to long and it generally cost more to replace them than to buy another drill kit.
At work we had 14.4 volt Milwaukee and now have Makita 18 volt lithium drills. I use my Milwaukee corded all day and get more done with it. I work in metal wood work/ carpenter work would be another story.
