My Drills and Chargers take up alot of work space.
I have seen some cool ideas from shelves on the wall to set-ups on Pegboard.

I saw a great idea that another member did with his oil return set-up in a homemade cabinet that he can close up...That sparked an idea!

I am building a wall cabinet from scrap lumber that will house my Cordless Drills-Impact-Light and Batteries.
I also wanted an outlet so that my chargers could be in there also.

I am still trying to decide if I want 1 door or 2 doors that can house my drill bits and Driver Bits.

I came up with a idea, plywood with aluminum angle on it...drill the holes for inserting the bits, and mounting that to the door.
its a clean look and I can stick a lable on the aluminum.

Here what I got so far.

Great idea! I've been wanting to do something like that with my cordless tools. I also need to figure out what to do with all the plastic cases for them. Hmmm...

Mine isn't very neat, but I have a power strip mounted on the side of a file cabinet next to the table. The chargers are set on the edge of the table next to the file cabinet and anytime I need a battery charged I can just put the battery in the charger and turn the power strip on. Most of the tools I keep in a cabinet where I can get to them easily. I also made wood blocks with holes that I marked with a sharpee. That way I can take the block to wherever I am using the tool, plus I have the yellow Dewalt containers that I keep spare bits, nutdrivers and drills in. Not as neat but I like the portability of it.

I wanted to work on it some more today, but...I had to powerwash the North side of the house and garage, as well as a few other outdoor projects today.

But I did get a chance to build the "Door" for the Cabinet.
I built it deep enough that my Drill Bit organizers will fit inside on the bottom shelf.
I do want to be able to remove them, so I will figure out how to keep them in place...could be simply velcro!

The "strips" that will retain the Driver bits will be mounted to the door and may "Step Back" so that the Taller ones are behind the short bits.

I have room for Spade Bits area, Drill bit index, etc.

I will sand it down, prime it, and pick a color inside and out. Its 32" Tall and 22" wide.
And 6" deep.

One change will be a Deeper Shelf for the Chargers than whats in there...I have 3 1/4" that I can come out due to the Door depth. But 1" more would work just fine.

I will have a HD cord coming out of it to plug into an outlet that will be just below the Cabinet once its mounted to the wall.

As you can see, I settled on a Single door. I would have loved the dual doors, but for simplicity, I went with one.

Looks good! I'm guessing you were talking about my oil cabinet? It sure looks similar, except your's isn't full of greasy slimey oil! I like the idea!
