I have looked for years for a way to store my cordless drills, nothing worked well. Then I stumbled across these boot holders, they work wy better for holding drills than boots.

Mine is like the one from wood magazine as well. It was a fun project as I am a beginner at woodworking and it was really easy to do the plans are easy to follow and it has a cutting list included. I put French cleats on mine so I can remove it from the wall more easily.

You got me wondering about other storage options for cordless. My wall space is so very limited in small 20x20 double car garage. What other ways should I be considering?
