Cordless drill with 110 & 220 charger?

Does any manufacturer make a cordless drill that I can use both in the USA and Europe?

I would actually kill for this... I spend half my time working out of the US and having to carry an extra convertor got annoying.. I finally just resorted to buying a couple chargers when I was in Europe.

I find it strange that it wouldn't be cheaper to make one worldwide model with different plugs, but who knows..

I've thought about tearing one apart to see how big of a pain it would be to make my own universal power supply, but I haven't gotten around to it yet..

My dewalts are rated at 120/60Hz, but my Makita charger is 110-240, 50-60hz. I would say that most electronics are rated for both now days.

You would have to buy two separate chargers as the tools & batteries are the same.

I am unaware of any dual voltage chargers. Maybe try a car charger that you could buy 2 different AC/DC barrel adapters? You'd likely wind up spending the same though.

is it that much of an inconvenience to have a travel adapter, or is there something i am missing?? anyway - Milwaukee does make a 110ac/12dc combo charger if that helps..

It is when you are typically quite limited in space.. Usually I have to pack what I need into a 1510 pelican for travel. The size and weight of the convertor is something I usually don't have room for.
I rarely have the luxury of shipping stuff ahead of time.
