I've got a Porter Cable 18v model PCL180CD cordless drill. It's been a good drill and has served me well for probably 8 or 9 years. The batteries are becoming weak and I've been looking for new ones. The old batteries are 18v lithium. Looking on line at Porter Cable's website the only lithium batteries I see listed are 20v. my question are these compatible with my drill? Looking for advice from those more enlightened than me.

They no longer make the 18V batteries.

I have a whole set of PC tools that take them.

I ordered a few replacements off Ebay that fit (not OEM you won't find any)
MY PC tools are slowly burning out- circ saw, sawzall, etc. but my drills and impact are still going on the new "Chineasium" batteries and a few older PC batteries.

If you are insist about getting a battery for thV at drill, you could probably get an adapter or see if any one makes an adapter to that drill... 20 V / 18 V it won't make a difference.

pick a cordless drill from a cordless "system" of your choice - Dewalt, Milwaukee, etc.

you can expand later on

Just buy the Ebay replacement batteries. I've owned some. They are pretty good, not great, but those PC 18v batteries weren't all that good to begin with.

Another option is to take them to a battery store - batteries plus can put new cells in them- or you can do that yourself
