Cordless Grease Guns

I use a bunch of grease on our 3 rotary cutters and haying equipment. I have always used a lever gun with a hose, and it's a chore when it's 100 degrees outside, to say the least.

I know the M12 gun is supposed to be pretty good. I just can't really justify the 129.00 for the bare tool (I have two M12 batteries and charger already, for my ratchet). Anyone wanna sell me a used one, or know of any good deals?

Has anybody used the cheap cordless guns on Ebay? 69 bucks for the gun and two batteries.. I am skeptical of their quality and longevity though.

Those of you that use the M12 gun, what is the battery life like? How many tubes of grease can you pump with it?

My only experience is with the Lincoln lines, I put 40-60 tubes through it a week of heavy moly industrial grease.

Some of the areas are hard to reach so a air hose is not a option.

My advice is try the Milwaukee/DeWalt ones, they have really good reviews online. Even some good video reviews on youtube.

The lincolns **** IMO. the 14v and 18v are pure garbage, the 20v is decent but still ***** in my book. I have cartridge issues all the time, very bad follower design, soft metal tubes, and the counter like to reset while in use making it untrustworthy. If you get a Lincoln make sure you have the pressure relief installed or you will burn the motor very quickly.

I tried to get my employer to get the Dewalt to share the 20v batteries as I found it has the best reviews vs the Milwaukee.

I wish there were some refurbished M12's from CPO. it shows out of stock. They don't seem to pop up used very often either, none on Ebay right now.

I farm, so I grease 6 tractors, a combine with corn and grain head, corn planter, grain drill, etc and I've been using a Milwaukee M12 for two years. It's been excellent. The battery life is really great, and it completely emptys the tubes.

I didn't have M12 until I bought the grease gun, I had all Bosch.

If you already have a M12 setup, buying the grease gun is a no brainer. It's a quality tool, well made and works great. Save up until you can afford it... forget the no-name cheap eBay cordless.

I agree if you have Milwaukee, stick with it. If not, go alemite. The alemite is fast, powerful and no stupid relief valve like the Lincoln. I got 9 years out of my first one and just got a new 12 volt one. Lincoln ones flat out ****.

I farm and havbe one window where I use about a dozen tubes. I run them thru a lever gun with straight ****** and have several where I have a couple flavors but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Fuel 4$, tractor, cutter all the collateral cost and think 129$ for a highly used item shouldnt even be a second thought? Probably should have had it years ago?

I grease a few things but its sporadic and most of it is one or 2 pump applications and a few fittings so another layer of power driven equipment is in the way. Same for tubes vs bulk, air power or reel etc.
If I was a regular greaser isn't any way in hell that I wouldn't haven near the latest greatest. I like the black moly for the wet, dirt, suspension etc and pink for hi speed when I can.
We had a grease gun party the other day resulting from really coming to the conclusion I was down to 1 gun that worked about 3 pumps. We found a bucket of broke ones and made about half a dozen from parts.

I'm not impressed with my m12 grease gun. Use about fourteen tubes a week on the farm.

Please don't laugh at me and make fun of me.

I have quite a few Craftsman C3/19.2 volt cordless tools. In fact its the only cordless tools that I have. Price is reasonable, only one kind of battery to worry about, lots of tools. So far they have worked for me. Started out and continue to use Ni-Cads, can go to the Lithium-Ion batteries (of which I think there is three different levels of) any time.

Does anyone know if CM has ever made a cordless grease gun using the C3/19.2 volt battery?

Does anyone know if the CM C3/19.2 battery will fit any other manufacturer's cordless grease gun?

I am adverse to getting started on another kind/shape of battery charger road.

I have both the M12 and M18 grease guns, and they are top notch. The M18 has a preset feature that can be set to deliver a set number of "strokes" per trigger pull, selectable by a dial on the gun. Great for regular maintenance.

I've got the m12 and I kind of wish I had the m18 instead, but since I only paid 129 for the grease gun and a 4.0 battery on sale, meh.
