im looking into upgrading from my standard craftsman c3 impact.http://www.sears.com/craftsman-c3-1...00010000100600&aff=Y&PID=6147012&AID=11042411. it just lacks power and the batteries ****. i have 2 nicad, 1 lith regular and 1 lith xcp, i also have the sawzall and drill which im not real impressed by but it is light. i would like to get the milwalkee 1/2in impact but the price is a bit much. anyways my question is if anybody has experiance with my impact vs the new craftsman impact with the new xcp battery vs the dewalt impact vs the kobalt? or should i just sell the c3 stuff and get the milwalkee m18 and sell my nicad porter cable for the m12. i also do home construction on the side and the guy i work with/for uses the dewalt 20v and i like that stuff but im interested in the m12 stuff for the construction because of the weight

This could have been written, word for word, by me!

I have the C3 drill (2 of them actually) and 2 lithium batteries. I tossed a half dozen nicads a long time ago when they went bad.

I REALLY need an impact. I drive hundreds of screws every week!

I want the Milwaukee M18 drill/impact combo soooo bad, but I just can't afford it. Too many kids to buy Christmas stuff for. And my wife doesn't get my hints, so I'll be getting more underwear and ugly shirts I'll never wear.

I'm holding out for a stellar CL deal maybe.

But hey, if you get the M18 stuff, would ya want to sell your C3 impact and maybe the sawzall and batteries? I'd be interested!

Doh! Actually it's an impact driver I need. A wrench would be nice, but not as useful as a driver.

got a $200 gift card to sears so i got the new c3 impact and cordless grinder. i did a side by side comparison and the old one shut down. now the new one was in the house charging all night and the old one in the cold shed but i used the new 4ah battery on both. the new one has a better grip and is about 1/8 inch shorter also. maybe the temp made the difference but i dont know.
