I am in the market to buy a 1/2 electric impact , I bought the Craftsman 1/2 cordless few years ago and it is weak so I have decided to replace with IR w7150 or milwaukee fuel impact. Which is better impact wrench?
I have to agree, go with Milwaukee simply for the batteries and availability of other tools. I picked up a Milwaukee 18v 1/2" impact recently, and I have been very impressed with it. Has much more torque than my DeWalt, and extra 18v batteries are $55 or so shipped to your door.
One thing that might sway you is this: http://www.coptool.com/ingersoll-rand-iqv-20v-brushless-impacts-w5132-w5152/. Milwaukee doesn't currently have anything in that size range that will approach that torque rating.
There's a battle between Milwaukee and Dewalt out there. Here's an awesome comparison video,
What model is the Dewalt?
On a budget and not a pro using daily.......the Milwaukee ( non fuel) can be had for less money and still packs a punch.
Since the Milwaukee Impact purchase have not used my air impact.
Mine is an older 18v 1/2" impact, probably 3-4 years old (or more).
