but also don´t forget Metabo the cordless tool underdog..... Look at the AH- rating of their new batteries exclusively made for Metabo by Sanyo........
..same size/weight as 3AH/4AH batteries....

The only issue with metabo cordless in the US is they really do not have as many tools available in the US as they have in Germany.

Up until now I've had a mish mash of different low cost brands but I've decided to go with Milwaukee M18 since I just bought an M18 FUEL 1/4" impact kit. (2653-22CT) And for 45% of the Home Depot price. I'm hoping their next shipment has a 1/2" impact.

I guess I'm the only one that will die with his Portet/Cable 19.2. My 15 yo 988 has been indestructable. Dropped 14' to concrete floor and no damage.

It is getting hard to find batteries for this rig, so I just buy the cells and rebuild my own now.

These and there 14.4 equivalents were the best drills ever. Too bad PC isn't what it used to be.

I have DeWalt, Bosch, and Hilti that I currently use. All are 18v except for Bosch where I also have 12v. All three are good but I don't think that Hilti is worth their cost anymore. Other than accessories I don't plan on buying from them again. I guess I like DeWalt the best because I can buy bare 18v tools just about anywhere. In the past couple of weeks I was in quick need of a jigsaw, and was I admit looking for a bare Bosch saw, but couldn't find one locally. Picked up a DeWalt at Lowe's and couldn't be happier with it.

I love Bosch but I'm friggin tired of waiting for them to catch up to the competitors. I've been waiting for the 18v 4.0AH to be released (in the US) and they still quiet about the release date. For god sake even Craftsman has a 4.0ah out months ago. Ok rant over.

I like my IR cordless W360 impact, if you work on cars I don't think you can beat them for durability. I know there is a new model but mine still works fine. I would put a 6-7 year lifespan on anything cordless at the rate they are developing.
