I am trying to figure out if I should spend my money next on a Cordless Recip or a Cordless Grinder. Does anyone have any suggestions on what they have and how much you use one or the other? Both will probably do what I need them to do, but I am trying to figure out which one would be more useful.

i don't own a cordless grinder, but i do own a cordless sawzall from dewalt. i love it, i use it more then my grinder, but everyone has differn't needs.

i take my sawzall to the junkyard with plenty of blades for parts work. '

i use it instead of my hacksaw to shorten bolts at times and such in the shop. or when im junking out a car/mower whatever get used to cut alot of things. i should buy another battery for it so i have two.

just my 2 cents.

I also have a DeWalt cordless reciprocating saw and use it for everything. However, when I need a grinder I stick with corded becaused cordless ones tend to kill batteries quickly.

I say start with the reciprocating saw first. I have one and use it a lot, the old corded Sawzall stays in the box. I eventually got the cordless grinder, not thinking I'd use the hell out of it. Turns out I was mistaken. I use the cordless one more often than the few corded ones, especially for small jobs. I ended up getting a second one so I could have both a grinding disc as well as a finishing disc or cutoff together.
