Saw a neighbor using one of these.
Very cool and a lot less hassle than dragging out the compressor, attaching the hoses, and dragging it around the car.

I wish the M18 Fuel had something like this,
but then again, it would not be $25.

I have a different version by Ryobi, the best feature is it can be set to a specific psi and shuts off at when it reaches that psi.

I have that one shown by Jacobson and have been using it for most of this year. It is very handy and using the large high capacity lithium battery, it can be used a number of times without re-charging. It's nice not having to plug a cord in the cigarette lighter and hope that it reaches. And also nice not having to worry about blowing a fuse and not have the compressor work at all - that actually happened once when my wife got a flat at work. The spare was low and I had to drag it and the compressor to my truck to fill it.

It works reasonably fast also. My daughter had a flat at work. I went over and refilled the tire in a couple of minutes (small car - Kia). It allowed us to get the few miles home where I could check it out.

The gauge on mine reads a little low but I keep a tire gauge in the truck with me so it's not really a problem.

It would be nice if the inflation hose was a little bit longer and if it had a trigger lock to keep it running. Otherwise, sometimes I have to bend over a little to use it. With a trigger lock, I could set it down to fill the tire.

If you already have some Ryobi lithium batteries and a charger, it's a great addition. Even with it's shortcomings, I recommend it.

I have one and I love it. Perfect for bike tires or the golf cart. Pretty sure I paid 19.99. So keep an eye out plus I think it's gonna be that price soon for the holidays.

New Milwaukee inflator is great but not a hand held pistol style

Auto shutoff very accurate gauge 10 minute duty cycle

Yep. It works great for adding a few PSI to tires or in a pinch. I've used mine several times so far, no complaints.

Really tough to justify the Milwaukee price.
just because I have the battery
Ryobi is still a fraction of the price

I have this along with a lot of other Ryobi cordless tools. Like most of their cordless stuff, it’s a great value, especially when paired with the larger lithium batteries.

I have this along with the 6.0ah M12 battery. Works very well for it's size. I haven't used any of my full size air compressors to fill up tires since.

They’re $19.99 right now during HD’s Ryobi Days sale. I had a hard time walking past it today while browsing other stuff.

Anyone got a recommendation for a tyre inflator?

It can't be powered from the 12v on the car because one of the cars doesn't have one (Classic Mini). So its got to either be a foot pump or battery powered.

I've had a couple of foot pumps over the last few years - on the cheap Halfords one the frame bent, and Michelin one I bought a few years ago to replace it has just broken.

Is there a decent foot pump option? Preferably one of the double barrel for speed.

Or am I better going for one of the reharagable battery powered options. I've been looking at the Ryobi One+.

Cheers.

Just posted yesterday how much I love the Milwaukee M12 inflator. Amazing to have a product like that in such a small form factor.

M12 is more expensive but you set and forget which is nice when the kids are annoying you.

Ryobi for when the kids are old enough to stand there for you.

I use that. It's good when you want to top off something without dragging air hoses out or moving stuff.

I see similar unit advertised on TV, wondered if they worked. I will get one when they go on sale. I carry battery boosted and LED trouble light in my truck but really should have better air inflating. My 12V POS inflater takes forever to fill a tire.

I really like mine too. I agree that it is expensive but it is so much faster than getting out my air chuck, unrolling the hose and setting the compressor regulator then putting it all back. It might be different if I had the compressor in use every day.

When I go on an extended trip I take a jump pack, the inflator and my impact with a set of wheel lug sockets.

What’s forever and how big is the tire? Mine inflated a 21” tire from 3.5 PSI to 44 PSI in less than 2 minutes. I was very pleasantly surprised. I didn’t sit and watch it either went on getting things ready to go get it repaired.

easy enough to use so my wife and daughter dont bug me to put air in their bicycle tires. it's ok to add a little air to the car tires but I wouldn't want to have to fill a flat with it unless it was an emergency

I too have that Ryobi tire inflator. Works great for adding air to a low tire or pumping up bike tires. Cheap purchase that works well for what it was designed for. Not going to fill an empty car tire in record time or give you a high pressure jet spray of air to clean something out, but it's portable, light weight and adds air to tires rather nicely.

20 minutes or better to get enough air just to move vehicle,,,its really a POS:bounce:
