why would I use a Hole Hawg with a 4 1/2" self feed bit on a car.....

maybe you don't know what a Hole Hawg is.....

its only 6 1/2" long and its designed to work between studs

http://www.milwaukeetool.com/power-tools/corded/1675-6

bet your M12 is longer than that:lol_hitti

:beer:
Yep, a whopping 1 1/4" longer. And about 9 pounds lighter. :lol:

Do you have to try to be as stupid as you seem, or does it come naturally? Do you miss wires and pipes with as much skill as you miss the point?

I found a video on Youtube on repairing/replacing battery packs. Anyone tried this yet?

I've done some too. Very good info for the most part. He said only use NiCad, but the correct info was put in text on the screen - use whatever chemistry your original pack used. The only uncorrected error I noticed was him referring to microamps, or microamp-hours, the units are actually milliamps, or milliamp-hours.

I don't think this is a good idea if you've never soldered before. It's a good idea to hit the areas you're soldering with a bit of sandpaper first, then "tin" it - put a thin layer of solder on without actually trying to solder the wire to it. Tinning the jumper will help too. This will minimize the heat you put in the battery.

When I make straps out of copper wire, I hammer the wire flat to minimize or eliminate the clearance problems when reassembling.

sloppy;
yes, i'm old ....

no, i didn't go through "the **** ages of cordless tools"

someone posted that "cordless tools will run circles around corded ones"

so i put up the example of the Hole Hawg and the big self feed bit

look at the M12, the 3/8" impact has 100 lbft:lol:

i primarily use air tools;
CP 1/2" impact puts out 425 lbft wt 5 lbs 5 oz
CP 3/8" impact weighs 2 lbs 15 oz
CP 3/8" butterfly weighs 2 lbs 4 oz
Dotco 1/4" die grinder weighs 11 oz
Dotco 1/4" angle head grinder weighs 1 lb

they all FIT in a 3" X 8" X 10" space, and yes I tried it

I am familiar with the bottom of cars.....I started getting PAID for crawling under Ferraris and Masers in '59, i'd already been crawling under cars for 8 years

I have no cordless tools......i have enough issues with batteries already:lol_hitti

Its been about a month with the Milwaukee M12 and very happy with it,got a 3/8 impact with it that does great for its size and looking into buying other M12 tools in the future. I am going to buy another drill for the house and get the sawzall and possibly the ratchet too.
