Like many of you, I am transitioning to 18v tools, but the hoarder in me will not permit me to pitch my corded tools. I have accumulated a large amount of drills, saws, polisher, grinders, router, air compressors, lights, batteries... that I am having difficulty finding a place to store them all. I did have them in a large bottom drawer of my toolbox, but they no longer will fit, and I hate digging through them to locate what I need, then spend 5 minutes trying to reorganize to get the drawer to close. I'd love to see some pics of how you guys are storing your cordless power tools, not just drills, as I have seen the usual drill storage rack.

Dude pull the pin. Sell off the corded stuff you don't use or donate it to a charity or non-profit that would appreciate it. No sense organizing stuff you will never use again.

For my cordless tools, I picked up some brackets from Proper tool company out of Austin.

For your corded tools, get rid of duplicates that you have cordless versions of. A good corded drill would be about the only exception I’d make.

If you do end up putting them in a cabinet, leave a note with the date you put them in and see how much time elapses.

A pawn shop might buy them but don’t expect to get much.

I just use this old wire rack. Somebody gave me a set of those wall-mounted tool holders a few years ago but I've never even taken them out of the box since this works well for me. Batteries and chargers on the top, drills on the second shelf down, other cordless tools on the 3rd and the bottom has some of my corded tools. My other corded tools are in a bottom drawer of my old Craftsman box to the left.

I watched Slickdeals like a hawk until Gladiator overhead cabinets were on clearance. I bought a pallet of them for $48 or so a piece, spent a weekend building them and put them up in the garage for power tools. The entire back wall of my 3rd bay is Gladiator cabinets. I don't like open storage due to dust buildup, more of a fan of the "smooth workspace" approach.

"A thing for every home and a home for every thing." Each cabinet is dedicated to a specific type of tool, attachments, etc.

Also, NEVER pitch your corded tools. Battery technology is impressive these days but nothing beats the reliability of corded tools.

Harbor Freight tool rack.
Had to bend some of the edges to get them to fit Milwaukee and Snap-On battery tools.
I keep the Milwaukee 3/8 impact and 1/4 ratchet in the top of the cart since I use them more frequently and the others on the side of the cart in the HF racks.

i keep my corded dools in blow molded cases (if they came in one) lined up on metal shelf unit in my reloading room, those without cases are in a 2 drawer file cabinet. cordless drill/driver are in the top of a toolbox, also in my reloading room.
2 cordless tools in the garage are in the top of a tool box, corded grinders are ina metal cabinet on the wall, corded drills are in the bottom open space in a toolbox.
at work i keep a 3/8" impact and 1/4" driver hanging on my cart. cordless grinder and drill are in a side box, i keep my 1/2" air impact and 3/8" air ratchet on the shelf of my cart, rest of my air tools are in another side box.
wife has all her cordless stuff hanging on hooks in the garage

I utilized wire shelving elements to create a milwaukee station. This provides a place to keep everything together (18v n 12v) for easy find/access. Batteries go on the separate small shelf and orientation indicates either full or partial charge. The chargers are activated by a inexpensive socket timer which I normally activate for 1 hr when using. This allows usage of quick n regular charges which I select depending upon battery charge status. I even have a set of wiring for resetting batteries that are showing difficulties in re-charging. I've been using this for 2 yrs and so far no changes have been required.
