I'm looking to pick up an additional cordless drill and impact to leave on my work truck. This would be for construction and building maintenance work mainly service calls and smaller jobs like door installs ect.

I've got an enclosed tool trailer that gets parked on the big jobs. I don't want to steal tools from it to keep on my truck.

Currently I have a mix of Bosch and Dewalt on the trailer and Bosch in my shop.

In the past I've used tools from just about every brand and I'm not married to any particular brand.

I'd like to keep this under $250.

This would be replacing an older Bosch impact that's on its last legs and a Hitachi 12v drill that I originally bought for the house but its ended up in my truck after my old drill was stolen.

I'd give this kit a hard look

Milwaukee 2597-22 M12 12V FUEL Hammer Drill / Impact Driver 2-Tool Cordless Combo Kit

With a few $$'s left to put towards a light.

If your looking for an around the house set -

Milwaukee 2494-22 M12 Lithium-Ion 3/8 in. Drill Driver and Impact Driver Combo Kit

same batteries as set above.

Home Depot has this:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Makita-18-Volt-LXT-Lithium-Ion-Brushless-Cordless-Hammer-Drill-Impact-Driver-Combo-Kit-2-Piece-with-2-4-0Ah-Batteries-Case-XT257M/205365066

They might also have some of these left:

On that second one: If their website says the store has them in stock but the staff can't find them, ask them to look in the "no home" area. That's where the store where I found mine had them.

Got tired of issues with the new Milwaukee stuff, went through a couple 18V fuel drills in as many years and repairs were expensive. Still have older Milwaukee saws and a 28V roto-hammer that keeps ticking but for the drill and 1/4" impact I now have Hilti. They are a better built tool in my opinion.

i would stick with a brand you already have. when you have a big job are helper with you all of the tools can be pooled with a common platform.
