Cordless tools in drawers?

Curious if anyone stores their cordless tools in drawers, I am more talking about circular saws, reciprocating saws, etc. Not so much the drill and small impact. I use my drill, impact, and sander often enough that they have easy to grab locations but most of the other things don't get used nearly as often and I am thinking of maybe building some drawers to hold some of these items.

Specifically, the items I will am trying to store more out of sight is a 36v circular saw, 18v saw, reciprocating saw, grinder, rotozip type tool, drywall gun, 1/2" impact. Right now they are shoved into shelves but I am thinking of building some bigger pull out drawers that would slide out and make it a bit easier to grab what I need and also maybe create more of a "designated" location for each piece so it isn't just **** piled on a shelf like it is right now. Right now I have to kneel down and dig for what I need as it just gets pilled on top of each other. I am thinking I can organize better if I have a drawer. I am thinking a shallower drawer for the thinner profile items like the impact, grinder, cutout tool, etc and deeper drawer for the saws. I almost think I can get all of it in half the space. I would love to see what others have come up with if you have done this?

Go for it. I started putting my lesser-used cordless tools in a drawer along with their blades/cutters.

I do it…made big drawers that are deep just for the purpose…the ones on the left.

I just use a 4 drawer vertical file cabinet like every office has; you could also use a lateral file.
With all the office closings these should be cheap, I wouldn't pay over $20 for a good one.
There's not much weight involved, so either unit should be fine for your intended use.

I still keep my hand held power tools (corded or cordless) in the original blow mold case. Things like wrenches and extra consumables have a home in there. I find it easier to grab a case, open it and have all the accessories right there. I just stack the cases in a row.

Some of mine are in drawers. Some are on shelves. Some are hanging on hooks on the wall.

Really just depended on what was available where I wanted to stick them.

I store my M18 tools in a file cabinet and my M12 on peg board. works out well

I store all of mine in a drawer as the drawers were free. I don't use them much except the drill which is always used and rarely in the drawer. I also have corded tools in the drawers too.

As the drawers are only designed for clothes etc they aren't the best but the price is.

I have a 36” wide cabinet with 4 shelves full of my Milwaukee M12/18 tools including table and miter saws. At another place I have Ridgid tools mostly in the drawers of a HF 42” tool chest but the 7.25 circular saw does not fit the tallest drawer.

All of my corded/cordless tools along with batteries and their chargers are in a 5 drawer lateral file cabinet.

Corded and cordless I have the blow molded cases for are still in the cases. I repurposed several other cases for other tools. Cirded tools that didn't come with a case are in a 2 drawer file cabinet.
Cordless drills and drivers are in the top of a toolbox. Wife's cordless drill, blower and hackzall are somewhere, only she knows for

Drills and impacts are hanging over a bench. Almost everything else is in drawers. The couple exceptions are my reciprocating saw, and oscillating multi tool. Both are in the original cases since they almost never get used in the shop.

I keep my drill & snake light on hooks on the pegboard back wall of my bench. Circ saw, recip saw, etc. go in a couple of "bus boy" plastic tubs which go on a cabinet shelf. Works great.

Most of mine - and their batteries - are in a deep drawer in a metal rolling cabinet. Partly out of fire concerns. I love the concepts of the charging station & holster/rack for drivers and drills. But I can't quite seem to want to pile all that together.

Same. I have some of each style. All the big stuff goes in them.
