I am fabricating my first Corian countertops. I have read the Corian fabrication manual. But it does not say if the seaming is done good side up or upside down. I am thinking it should be done good side up so you can be sure both pieces line up correctly. Does anyone know the proper way to do this? Thanks.

30 years ago I built Corian counter tops for a living. It didn't matter which way the buildup was oriented, all that mattered was that it was properly clamped. When you're building up three 1/2" layers to make a 1-1/2" counter top edge, there's always gonna be a "good" and bad side sandwiched in there. Just be sure to use an adequate amount of adhesive and proper clamping. It is amazing how many imperfections and bubbles there are on the "bad"/ top side of the factory pour...The adhesive will always fill those in when your build up. Remember it's better to waste adhesive than it is to have any voids.

When we had a new counter installed they set both pieces on the cabinets and spent a ton of time getting them both flush. And then they bonded them together.
