Was talking to cornwell guy and was asking about this box, say he can probably get me a good deal on a 75'' box. Wondering if anyone has one of these? I messed with one on the truck they seem on par with my classic 96.

back in my pre snap on days i had a cornwell 67" and a few of the drawer slides fell apart and the lock bars broke, took nearly a year to get parts from cornwell, 3 dealers were no help at all, ordered them a dozen times, their customer service is terrible, absolutely no interest in standing by their boxes. i will never buy a cornwell product again after the **** i went through to get parts for a box that was junk from day one. another tech at work has a 84" cornwell and is trying to get drawer slides replaced and has been waiting for 5 months already.

I was very close to buying a blue one. Then a 67" one from the more expensive series. not question though. You have a classic 96? At least you can add on to it. Hutch, top box etc. you can't do that with the Cornwell. I don't think the Cornwell has anymore room than the classic. I would keep your classic 96. The ONLY thing I like on Cornwell boxes more than any other box is the drawer pulls. I really don't see any advantage to going from the snap on to the Cornwell unless you are making money on the deal. If you are adding on or maybe a home box then I guess depends on the deal. I REALLY like the look of Cornwell boxes more than any other as well

Everyone is right about the parts thing. Cornwell just switched their supplyer again. And my dealer is having a hell of a time helping out one of his customers with parts for a 5 yr old box. The company said there is nothing they can do. So he asked for contact information for the maker of that box and they refused. Cornwell is a family run company that is very inefficient and is old school. They change suppliers like its nobodys buisness with their toolboxes and their specialty tools.

Cornwell is very quickly becoming full line Chinese junk. Their boxes seem nice with the integrated stainless tops and the lighting in their hutches, but how long until you can't get a new set of glides because they just don't care?

Not long brother. Not long. You are right about them switching over to chinese ****. They are phasing out all otc tools in their line with a chinese company. Even though most of the otc stuff is made over the big lake but the quality control is much better. Its sad and they still wont change their sockets over to scalloped ball retainers instead of the old school hole. Main reason ill never buy a chrome socket set from them. Plus if they keep this up they wont be around 20 years from now.

I can get you a good deal on a ukranian mail order bride. She won't be impressed by your snap on collection.

75" box? Yeah you should buy that instead of getting a better car. Definitely. Are you trolling? I think you're trolling.

Classic is full and I will not get a top box. I might just wait to see what number he can come back with. If they are as good as a HF box I used one of those for a 1 and had no issue.

Maybe get a bigger roller instead of adding a new. I really like the 84" Cornwell custom series. That or an epiq would be my box of choice. The custom series are huge. They are made by Waterloo in Mexico. I don't think the current Cornwell line up has the issues like the past ones.

Absolutely agree Cornwell's customer service leaves a lot to be desired!

I for one will never purchase any of their tools again based on my experiences with the way I was treated by Cornwell's customer service.

They make a big issue about being family run but don't back it up as far as I am concerned.

Cornwell is best for hardline tools. I would imagine their boxes are good, but based on the previous stories, not much longevity in their parts department.

Those 75 boxes are 7900 sq in, your classic 96 is 8500, yes a little more room they are close to the same size really. Depending which on your classic 96 is some have 18 drawers the Cornwell has 15

Retail is. 3995 for that Cornwell so keep that in mind when making your deal I wouldn't think you should pay anywhere near that sounds like a lower end box considering the price. Probably not lifetime warranty like snap on. Sure snap on has a higher retail price BUT you can get parts in 5 years for it for free. It's just like the lower end MAC boxes 1 year warranty. Matco carts one year warranty, snap on is great because of the warranty. Talk to your driver about maybe stepping up to a larger KRL or add a large cart to what you have now

I have a 12 drawer classic 96 wide guy. The krl I want right now is out of the picture. The classic has 33,000 square inches. Where as the cornwell has 39,000 square inches. There is a guy in a shop who bought a used cornwell box about a year ago off the snap on truck, maybe ill go talk to him and see how his is holding up.
