I have a loaded question of sorts. I have a chance to pick up a Cornwell box (with some tools in it) for $500. The issue is, it's a 1.5 hour drive, and the lady has no camera, she just told me it has "7 drawers, with 6 more on the side".

...I'm really unfamiliar with Cornwell, but the only thing I can find with 13 drawers are big rolling cabinets. I'm sure it's a screaming deal, but not sure I want to drive that far for something that might not fit in my FJ Cruiser! lol

Any thoughts?

...man I wish I could get some pics!!! lol

tag numbers were on the back of the cabinets, but rarely stay put. Both mine fell off within a few months. Maybe ask her to get dimensions of it so you know what size truck to bring? if nothing else just measure it with something like a number of cans of soda. at least you will have a general idea

+1 on getting measurments. If the size sounds reasonable, check it out. Here in South Dakota, its a 1.5 hour (or more) drive to get anywhere! Jump in the FJ and make an afternoon out of it. Hit some pawn shops, second hand stores and garage sales along the way.

I wouldn't go without seeing pictures beforehand or get demensions. It could a 26 inch wide rollaway with a side box attached. Cornwell boxes run the gambit from old metal box company stuff, to remline, to waterloo, to Kennedy and back to Mexican made waterloo. It could be a deal or it might not be worth the time or money. Good luck.
