I used that trash bag tie to prove to you peeps that the beam profile is indeed rounded. It's very comfortable I might add. :)

Ok, excellent photographs. You can use those pictures when you list the wrench on Ebay and see how far above retail your auction goes.:lol_hitti

Did you guys see that one shot showing how they trim the fat off the beam right by the box end? It's lean and mean. :)

Yes - I saw that! Is this a current generation wrench - Can you buy one from Cornwell just like this right now?

I like Cornwell tools. I've always had excellent luck with them.

Very comfortable in my hands.

I have a set of Cornwell metric combination wrenches and they are indeed very comfortable in my hand even when applying a lot of torque. The open ends are very thick which is a plus when you want to get a lot of meat around a stuck fastener but I have often found them to be too thick to work in tight spots. The chrome is chipping a little on the open ends of some of mine but I got them used so I can't say what kind of treatment caused the chipping.

I have always admired those super long pattern wrenches.

That's their newest generation yes.

I don't remember exactly when I got that wrench, but I know for sure it's newer than 2000. These are sweet wrenches. :)

I just picked up a Cornwell catalog and price list. Dealer prices are just as high as Snap on. EBAY is another story. Bought SAE and Metric long 3/8 hex driver sets. Paid 50.00 for both sets and 10.00 extra for shipping. Look nice and work good. I will not buy from the dealer and pay the high price but EBAY prices rock.

I show $28.07 out of the 2007 price list for that wrench; what does your price list say?

The 2008 says 29.47 but the dealer told me when he gave me the price list that I should plan on 10 to 20 % higher price due to the cost of steel rising.

I think the wrench looks good but Ill buy the Snap on for 33.50.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Cornwell makes great tough hard line tools period, and for the prices the tools that I have bought don't change prices untill the next price list comes out yearly.
