Finally got my JR72 yesterday and thought you guys might like some pictures of the insides. Feels great, very solid - little to no wobble at all . Handle feels exactly like the JR30, would not be suprised if they are using the same blanks. Ratchet design is very similar to the Matco but it uses two springs for the pawl and a detent spring on the selector. Ratchets very smoothly but has a little more resistance than the Matco 88, probably due to the extra srings. The drive parts pictured are of the cornwell, matco 66, and mac.

Hah Hah!! Look at that MAC gear!! Talk about primitive.... :lol_hitti

I was working on my lawn mower today and i grabbed my Mobile Snappy Kit which holds a 936 1/4" and Ive come to the conclusion that i would rather use it versus the T72. I rather enjoy the positive feel that i get from those rats, Not to mention i feel better eyeballing the USA logo. :bounce:

The dual 80's aren't US made?

I didnt say that, Snap on re-affirms that they are but for the reason of "globalization" they choose not to stamp them USA anymore, Although they stamp all there other Hard line tools. Its clear as mud to me, How bout you?

forceyoda,

How has the JR72 held up? I have been thinking about buying one for a while now.

i saw one and felt it today on a cornwell truck. it feels like a *************. way stiffer then any other ratchet i ever used. why is it so stiff? it seems more of an effort then a relief when trying to spin the ratchet.

will any lube help this ratchet at all or is it the spring design in the pawl?

i am not trying to anger anyone but this felt really crappy as far as new designs go. same cornwell body is great but the insides were ****

it will never swap directions on you, and with some oil mine loosened up a lot. Its a good, strong ratchet.
