My Cornwell guy just left and was offering a great deal on a Black box with blueish chrome trim. It is the 67". The drawers are so deep they seem like they are not going to stop as you are opening them. The website does not list how deep these actually are. So my question is does any one have one? If so how do you like it? If there is a Cornwell dealer on here chime in please on features and benifets. My Cornwell guy is pretty new so he is not an expert on them. I would like to hear from guys that own them as well. Before anyone says it I know they arenot made here or made by Cornwell themselves. I actually like the way it looks and feels. It feels just as good or better than a Snap On dare I say. The boxes actually look like Snap On epics without the power tool storage

I don't own one, but being a casterkicker I have looked them over. They seem to be pretty well built and really like the drawer layout. With the same breath I do not like how shallow the drawers are. The "deep" drawers are barly 3" deep, deal breaker for me. My overall opion on cornwell boxs, get it as cheap as possible. It will not have the resale of the other truck boxes. Also, cornwell does not appear to support boxes very well after they change designs, so replacement parts may be a pain in 5 to 10 years.

They are horribly expensive going by the list prices on the Cornwell website. If the "great deal" is anything over $3000 I'd get a snap on just over the issue of resale value and parts availability. Not to mention dealer availability.
The list price for a Mexican made Waterloo is too much for me to stomach.

Cornwell dealer is just as available as Snap On. A comparable size Snap on is a 68" epic and it is 11k. The price he gave me is no where near the 8k msrp. Actually closer to the 3k mark mentioned. It is deeper than a Snap on master series almost the same dimensions as the Epic. The mexico thing ***** but I look at it as helping a fellow small biz owner. I have a great Snap on dealer but for some reason I like the Cornwell box better.

If you can get into that box for the 3K mark, then I think that is very good deal. I was a mechanic for 7 or 8 years and owned a SO krl box before I ever saw a cornwell truck. When I did get a cornwell guy and saw their boxes, I kinda wished I bought a cornwell instead. This was the last generation cornwell double bank, 65" or so wide. It was a shallow 24" depth, but the main drawers where close to 40" wide. List price on the box was crazy dirt cheap for a truck toolbox, but I already had a paid off krl.

The "Henry Repeating Rifle" box is part of a promotion Cornwell had at their dealer show a month or more ago in Vegas (IIRC). I believe the dealers had to special order them. If you buy it new, you also get the gun shipped to a local gun shop as part of the deal. My dealer has one on his truck, and that is the story as far as I can remember.

I can't comment on a Cornwell box, I don't have one. Remember, the box does have a warranty, so if anything does go wrong, your dealer should take care of it. To me its a little like comparing Fords vs. Chevys. Each one hates the other camp. Make your decision and enjoy it. Good luck. :beer:

That is a big a*s box. I would jump on it if the opportunity came my way, don't have a Cornwell dealer. 3K is a good deal, does that include any trade in or just a fresh new box purchase?

I wouldn't do 8K for that box thou. 3K is do-able.

It is not 3k. I was saying it was closer to 3k than the 8k msrp to answer a post above. If it was 3k I woild have bought it today.

I have a 10 year old Kennedy made Cornwell 60 inch wide top and bottom with an end cab that has served me well. I can't speak to the quality of the new Cornwell boxes as they are made by Waterloo in Mexico. I think the box linked is beautiful aside from the non matching henry repating rifle logo on the bottom right drawer.:wtf:

Yea not a fan of the logo on the drawer. I would probably look into removing it if I buy it. The pic does it no justice. The thing in person is absolutly huge. Like I said I did not think the drawers would stop. They actually could not open all the way on the truck they hit the shelving across from it. If I did snag it I would have to beef up my collection because there is a TON of room. The thing is a work of art. I for some reason really like the Cornwell boxes look. I think they look better than all the other truck brands. Before I get bashed for that it is just my personal taste

Our Cornwell guy has one of those on his truck.
Very nice box, absolutely huge.
He is down to 5K on it and still has no one interested.
If he gets down to 4k I may see what we can do, I have an older double bank shallow cornwell box he has tried to buy from me on multiple occasions.

It's the drawer latch mechanism that's the deal breaker on Cornwell boxes. It's an ingeniously simple system up that's real easy to operate.

Overall opinions of it. Pros cons etc. Maybe even some specifics on how its built like steel gauge etc. My Cornwell guy is pretty new so he does not know a lot about it. When I say new I mean really new. Also any problems people may have if any. Like drawer sagging, things like that. I also have my Snap On guy looking for any nice slightly used boxes. Cornwell the same. Thats how we got into the convo on the new one

That thing is HUGE. Do you know if he likes it? Any issues? Regrets? No need to give me his # i guess its not that serious. I wish I had the money for the 84. He also has a black with chrome 58" top and bottom for a great deal as well. I am going to his storage unit to check it out. I am trading in or selling a Kobalt with the radio and fridge(yes I know its gimmicky but I am not a pro mechanic). I do use it daily(I do everything automotive electrical and home and office/schools AV systems. I own my own shop and think a new box will look a little more proffesional. Although a lot of customers compliment it
