I picked this up today for $400. I spoke to the guy a week ago he had it listed for $750 OBO with no picture and not much info. To me way over priced at $750. He tells me he lost the keys and one of the struts for the lid is bad. And it was used but in good condition. But he did not know the model number. Said he would call me back with it. Well a week goes by and I don't get call so I figure it is sold. Then I notice it listed today for $450 firm. The guy is moving and it needs to go. I call him and he said he lost my number and he had a guy coming tonight to look at it and a bunch of calls but if I wanted I could look at it first. So $400 later and its home. It needs a good cleaning and is well used but in good shape. Not a huge fan of orange boxes but it ok.

Maybe your Cornwell guy will warranty the strut? Might be worth making a few purchases and then hitting him with the warranty claim. Good looking cart.

He actually lost one key and the other was broken off in the lock. He told me he had the key in the lock and something fell on the box snapping the key off. Seemed like an honest guy picked it up at his house so hopefully it was not stolen.

Pretty good deal for $400 if everything else is in good shape. I have one like that in blue. IIRC theywere about $900 off the truck but the newer models are near $1100 now

mopar66 nice box there my friend I have been looking for a while nothing has popped up till today got a lead on an older craftsman top and bottom in like new condition. Its a three hour drive to get it once I see the pics Ill decide if I am gonna take the ride to get it.

Nice score! I still am undecided about haveing a tool cart with a lid on top. I think I would use the top more of a work bench and then need to open it up for something. But for that deal I would live with it. Hopefully a good deal will come along here on CL.

Not sure if I am going to keep it long term. I also picked up a nice NAPA tool cart recently. I am undecided about wanting just another large bottom box to double as a work bench.

I have that Cornwell cart in black and it has served me well becoming my primary box for over 6 years now. I hardly venture to my main box as I can put about 97% of what I need on a daily basis in the Cornwelll cart and move from bay to bay or to to drive ins. $400 is less than half of new price. The lock and strut will be easy to fix. If you don't have a cornwell dealer, you can probably source a new lock/strut from Napa or Sears. Napa sells Homak made units that are similiar and sears has a 4 drawer cart from the same company. I would keep it and use the hell out of it.

I have that cart. It seems very sturdy and it is easy to roll. I think $450 is a good price for that one.
