I’m doing a Mercedes v8 engine rebuild soon and I need to upgrade my hex bits and torx. I came across this cornwell set for about 250$ New and it has all the sizes I need(t55 for head bolts) you guys think this set will hold up? Also is this made in USA or Taiwan?
Model number: CBSMTH62S

Its a good quality set. Made in Taiwan. I wouldn't spend much more than $100 if this is ebay or facebook or whatever though. The warranty is only worth so much and $250 will get you a lot of VIM or a few sets from Capri. If you don't have a Cornwell truck then i'd pass completely and buy this.

Alternately if you don't need the long bits you can buy their master torx and a small metric hex sets for a total of about $85.

If you buy direct from Capri they have a warranty system similar to Tekton where you just send them a picture.

Is the Capri and cornwell the same quality?

I think the new "Advanced " bit sockets from Capri might be a skosh better than the VIM made cornwell set and I love most VIM made tools.

If you register with capritools.com you get free CONUS shipping, earn reward points, and they also offer great warranty service with emailing pictures of the failed tools. I think their bit sets are on sale this month. There are several You Tube videos showing their bit sockets in action but, try to separate the infomercials made by influencers from actual use.
