I have a lot of 'Cornwell' tools, but it seems most all of them are rebranded Lisle or OTC tools unfortunately. I have their 1/4 torque wrench and my home tool box is a 46" Cornwell.

I have some impact sockets and a few ratchets all USA made. I've purchased some used items not made in the USA and the quality has dropped quit a bit.

I've got some 1/4" sockets that I gave up on warrantying when the chrome flaked off, a set of ratcheting wrenches that I actually really like, a 27" breaker bar that's been warrantied 5 times with no cheater pipe ever touching it, and their 37 piece hex/torx bit set, that breaks bits if you look at them sideways. Final straw was the driver I've been dealing with for 5 years quoting me 20% over retail on a box. The cornwell stuff is coming home and getting replaced with snapon/matco as soon as I get around to it.

Almost forgot my cat4150 1/2" impact. That is a badass gun.

have some screwdrivers from cornwell

Do they still make those nut drivers? I cant find them on the site or my catalog. I have a set of the Phillips and slotted and I really like them. I was looking to replace my craftsman nut drivers and like the handles of Cornwell drivers,

Cornwell make those, or are they rebranded?

I don't know.. the screwdriver is made in Germany, by Witte.
Not sure about the wrenches. Wherever they are made, they are very good.

Cornwell's ratcheting wrenches are made by Kabo in Taiwan.

The new black/blue handled screwdrivers, picks, hooks, and trim tools are made by sunex in Taiwan.

I'm not sure who in Taiwan is making their Blue Power line yet.

If you can get a Cornwell pricelist. The items that they actually make are displayed in bold print. The amount of items in bold continues to decrease with each passing year.

I've got some cornwell tools that are decent enough that i picked up off a dealer going belly up when i started but i'm phasing them out. Its a regular routine at work where theres a dealer for awhile then he quits and awhile later gets replaced by another for a year or so.

I've only got 2 Cornwell pieces in my collection, and those came in a group of 4 ratchets I scored off Craigslist. Paid $40 for the lot. One is a super clean SR 50 the other is a well used JR 3. Needs a rebuild as it skips, but never seen a Cornwell truck around here. They seem like really good ratchets, these I believe are from the 50s.

Cornwell never showed up to any of the shops I worked at so I never bought any. I heard their tools were okay but their dealers were not reliable. Had one guy in the shop I worked at that had drawers full of them and no one to service them. He called them ******** tools.

Is that actually intended to be used? Or just looked at?

Great question:lol_hitti

It's a regular JR30 with gold plating and commemorative markings so yes, it could be put to use like any other JR30.

But who'd want to?? I also have a few SO commemorative tool sets. All of these just sit and collect dust.

What do you guys do with tools like this?

Are those giant square shaped handles with screw driver shanks comfortable to use? They look akward.

To me, they feel similar to the hard handle snap on handles. The thumb slot is a little more pronounced on the Cornwell than the snap on. You can get some serious grip on them.

Here's mine.......

Top box I've owned since 1976..Got it and all it tools from my Grandfather when he retired. The box was full of Snap-On, Blue Point, Mac and or course Cornwell. THIS is what got me hooked on tools, I was 7 yrs. old in 76 and have every single tool that was in his box. He was a auto mechanic his whole life and those tools made him everything. Miss you Grandpa!

The middle Box... found at a swap meet about 10 years ago. Paid $20 for it...Great box.
