got a call from a dealer this morning that makes weekly stops near where i live. really nice guy. i told him that i wasn't a shop or full time mechanic. also told him that i wanted to increase my tool collection, but it would not be a lot as a time.

really nice fellow.

i liked his motto: "my customers aren't millionaire customers, but they are my millionaire customers."....not verbatim but pretty close.

Have never seen a Cornwell truck in Los Angeles, not one time. I have seen them in Santee in San Diego just about every time i go down there. Why no Cornwell in Los Angeles? This is a very large market here.

I reciently broke my 36inch Cornwell prybar..Well the plastic handle broke. Sent an Email to Cornwell and within 2 hrs the closest rep called me. He's from Orange county and his name is Ralph.

I just wanted the handle replaced but he drove to my shop in Hesperia, ordered a brand new prybar and is having it shipped directly to me.

So far I'm impressed with Cornwells Public relations

He did mention that I could be the Cornwell guy around here.......I'm tossing the idea around in my head.

I saw that show! Pretty cool how they make the tools. I had no idea how all that was done. Sounds like a good company to me. That said I have none of their tools. I don't think I would hesitate to purchase from them though.

Cornwell makes good tools. I have 3/8 impact swivel, impact 12pt shallow, impact 6pt shallow and deep and 1/2 impact deep socket sets all from Cornwell. I have a set of metric combo wrenches too. All good stuff and recommended. Their power tools all seemed to be rebadged stuff, but still good stuff. Too bad my Cornwell dealer shut down last month.......

So far of all the tool trucks that come by our shop the Cornwell guy is by far the friendliest followed by Snappy. The prices aren't bad and yes as most trucks specialty tools are rebranded. The ratchets are pretty nice as well as their sockets and wrenches. The only thing the other trucks have over Cornwell is bundle specials. I hope when we move I am fortunate enough to have another Cornwell guy if not I will make the trek back once in a while for some tools and free candy.

damn, there's a Stahlwille truck? How are the prices compared to what you see at samstag or the other internet vendors?

edit: their North American website doesn't list any distributors, save one. Anyone ever seen a truck up in Los Angeles?

Talking to our Stahlwille guy, He tells me there are only 3 Stahlwillie trucks in California... his, his dad's, & his brother. Kinda got the market cornered huh?
