Can anyone identify the model number of this box? And does anyone know how hard it would be to get a new lock for it or at least what type of mechanism it uses?

Owner doesn't have any information on it. Could get a pretty good deal on it right now but not too interested if it doesn't lock.

I don't know if lock parts are available. Check that these parts are still on the box:

The Cornwell box I have has two diagonal bars that go to the back of the box and lift/drop a vertical bar that catch the cut out on each drawer.

I would imagine if all that is missing is the lock barrel, then you could get one pretty easily from a locksmith. If all the linkage is gone, maybe your cornwell dealer can hook you up.

Thanks for the help guys.

Got the number for a regional manager from corporate customer service. Turns out they no longer have the parts for these boxes and the new ones are completely different. But they said that Waterloo made these, so i did a little digging and found a craftsman box that looks almost identical. My bet is they still use the same type of lock which sears still stocks.

Did you call Waterloo?
I had great luck getting some parts for my Craftsman pro box that they built when Sears could not help me. They even sent me a top mat for the box that had the Cornwell logo on it for free.
