Cornwell Tools dealer HELP!!!

At the advice of a member on this forum I am posting my issue with Cornwell Tools in hopes that someone may provide me with some sort of resolution. I hate to post negatively about anything but at this point I don’t know what else to do.

After 9 months of dealing directly with 3 separate Cornwell tools dealers I have gotten to this point .

Long story short I dropped my box loading it. Consequently I broke 3 sets of slides and the handle. I have been very patient and understanding of everyone’s situations, back orders, and whatever BS reason they throw at me.

I am not asking to get a single part replaced under warranty as I am more than willing to pay for them.

At this point I am asking for anyone who can help get me the parts I need so I can use this box again. It’s a CTBMM100 service cart. I need both sets of slides for the two deep lower drawers and a set of slides for the upper left shallow drawer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Cliff Notes

I am NOT trying to get anything covered under warranty. I did the damage and am more than willing to PAY for all replacement parts.

Contacted Cornwell Headquarters – They referred me to 2 different local dealers after trying to work with another one prior to this.

Local dealers blew me off or lied to me

Cornwell headquarters refuses to sell me the parts that I need directly.

Looking for ANYONE to help me get my parts!!!

Tried using slides from Snap-On, Mac, Matco, Grainger, McMaster, Surplus Center, Harbor Freight, Northern, Sears, and other manufactures and cannot find anything that works. This box has a goofy slide configuration. Using a different slid would require serious modification of the box and may just render it useless.

As a cornwell box owner all I can say is........GoodLuck!

We now have 2 Cornwell trucks in the area and I have tried to get a couple of slides that are tweaked fixed (willing to pay for them) for about 3 years now. Even had a DM physically come and look/feel them. He said there was something wrong woth them as well.
Still a no go.
Tweaked slides are now on the least used drawer in the box.

I don’t want anyone thinking I am on here to bash Cornwell. I broke this box and have to live with that. I have had no other problems with Cornwell Tools until this horrible situation. All I want are the parts to fix it.

At this point I just think that it’s the perfect storm of ****** dealers, poor location, and my bad luck. This is a great cart and I am satisfied with the quality of it.

With all the above said, I have never been dicked around like this by any Snap-On, Mac, or Matco dealer. You decide how you want to spend your money. I am just putting the information out there.

In the end all I want is to have a cart that is not a $500 dust collector.

I had a similar experience with Mac quite a few years ago. I wanted to BUY, not warranty but BUY, slides for a 40" wide economizer box I used to own. I'll bet it took eight months and quite a bit of my bitching to get the slides I needed. From what I gathered, I think it was a company issue and not the dealer.

Needless to say as soon as I got that thing fixed, I traded it for a Snap-On KRL double bank. I wasn't going to go through that hassle ever again as I was sure if I'd kept that box, I'd have worn out the slides again.

I know your not bashing but life is way to short for BS like this. I must tell you after reading how corporate and the dealers have acted I've written off Cornwell forever. Just my opinion....

That cart is made by Sunnex. They also make our MSC4, I just don't know which parts are interchangeable. If your Matco guy ordered slides, I wonder what set he ordered? Do you still have the part #?

Here's a note about the Matco units.
LENGTH WIDTH DEPTH

RSRBS 18 1/2" 1 3/8" 7/16"
K7RSHDRBS 18 1/2" 2 1/8" 1 1/16"

K7RSHDRBS HEAVY DUTY ROLLER SLIDE IS HEAVIER AND LARGER THAN THE RSRBS AND WAS ONLY USED ON THE FIRST SHIPMENT OF MSC4 FOR THE BOTTOM DRAWER ONLY; PRESENTLY ALL MSC4 SLIDES ARE RSRBS AND THE K7RSHDRBS WILL NOT WORK IN THE CART.

Cool. Dealers are the variable that can't be controlled. Fortunately our local Cornwell dealers are THE coolest guys on the planet.
