A while back while I was on the truck at work I picked up a 13 pc. 3/8 drive metric Blue Power socket for around $50. According to the tool guy Blue Power is their answer to Snap-Ons Blue Point and made in Taiwan? It carries the same warranty as the US made Cornwell tool so I figured why not. I'm wondering if anyone else has them and what they think of them as far as quality. I've never had high quality sockets aside from the few my dad had left over from his wrench turning days. I've been told the higher end tools offer less play. If anyone else has opinions as to this budget line please share.

I have a couple of the Blue Power impact sockets sets and yes they are on the same quality level as the Matco Silver Eagle and Blue Point import tools. As a matter of fact, I would not be surprised if they are all made by the same manufacturers. Personally, I believe the quality level is very good. You can't go wrong with any of those 3 brands.

In my personal experience, the main line Cornwell chrome sockets **** these days. Older Cornwell stuff is so much better than the current line. The chrome peals WAY too easily. So the Chicom Cornwell are probably just as good, if not better than their main line.
