But you do know by know this stuff comes in like 3 different gauges, yes?

And that varies the price of course.

Yes I have been pricing it all at one gauge. Appreciate the double check. I'd like to say I have done enough research to be knowledgeable but I'm old enough to not be that assuming. Without all of you I'd have a badly put together pile of wood and an outdoor skating rink

If I read your post correctly, the HD solution requires two pieces per run of metal from ridge to eave? In that case, a small premium is worth it in the long run. One less place to deal with a leak, looks better as one piece. Less trips up and down the ladder as well. The length pieces you are talking about are no problem for 2-3 people.

As you mentioned, for the length you need a trailer and pickup would make it a manageable delivery.



Totally agree. I was stuck on doing this myself. I've done this whole thing solo so far with the exception of foundation. One piece will be so much nicer as well.
