Corsair tools?

Alright, so buddy of mine gave me a old tool box with random hardware and tools in it. I found a screw driver that says " Corsair tools USA " any idea? I googled it but found nothing.

Not sure.. its just a rusty flathead screw driver.

I have a nice stubby straight that has Corsair USA only had some rust but cleaned up nicely never been re ground/sharpened.was thinking abut posting it.

I have found some...this is a USA cheap tool line, from before the foreign takeover of consumer level tools...
Back then The USA Stood Proud! We made our OWN cheapo tools, not just the good ones!
From the couple I have encountered, they are not bad, perfectly serviceable tools, but not pro grade or meant for really hard use. What you would have bought at the hardware store to tighten up that loose hinge if you were a non-tool geek sort of person.

Google "NZ Screwdriver" and a site comes up that mentions the NZ screwdrivers and has some text about "Corsair USA" screwdriver.

There is something about "NZ" screwdrivers that perhaps came from Gilbert Erector Sets ?

Check E-bay also for NZ screwdrivers I think there are some listed

I've never seen a Corsair tool before, so I bought this chisel at the flea this morning as soon as I spotted it. The handle has been snapped off (you can read the CORSAIR and just make out the "U." from "U.S.A.") not unexpectedly since it doesn't have a through-shank.

Sitting in Norway, going through dozens of tools I got from some old guy. Was curious when I found Corsair printed on a screwdriver - and here I am after a Google-search. Thought it was a high end brand, reading this thread proves me wrong I guess. Also found a Craftsman screwdriver. Never seen that brand for sale over here, might wonder how it ended up here. I guess the quality is ok, since I see some of the US youtubers I follow often use Craftsman tools?
