Cost of replacing extension springs

I just got rough quote of $130 to replace my extension springs. Is that a good ballpark ?
Reality is, after reading about the dangers involved in this fix, I don't think I'm willing to do this myself.

Extension springs are easy. When the door is up there is almost no tension on them. Check the price at a good hardware store.

You should be able to buy them from Sears or any hardware store for about 10 bucks no more. They are very easy to replace just match the color of your old ones they are rated by pounds. Just lift the door all the way up and clamp a pair of vise grips on the track under the roller to keep it from falling. Biggest thing is to make sure they both have the same amount of tension.

Good idea to replace the four pulleys at the same time depending on how old they are, also a very good idea to put safety cables inside them as well. Post up the size and type of door and I can tell you what size to use.

The door and garage is ancient. Not sure how heavy it is, but it's solid wood with 4 glass panes on the top panel. It's a little over 6' tall, not sure how wide. It's not too bad to open it manually since 1 spring is still intact. I'm guessing it'll be more than 130 because I'd like to get the pulleys, cables redone as well. I'll see what he says when he comes in later this week.

Time is a factor why I don't want to do this myself as well. I probably wouldn't be able to get to this for another month or so do to other house projects I have going on. I'd like to get this small thing taken care of so I can at least use the garage for parking during the winter. This is also a single car garage-a-ma-hut and I'm planning to blow it away in a year or so to put up a 2 car.
