Hello GJ

Quick one - anyone have a square foot cost comparison between Race Deck and a nice high build epoxy?

I can handle floor grinding so please leave that put of the comparison. I have access to grinding equipment.

If i go epoxy i want somthing that will handle welding, grinding, relatively heavy hobby but not commercial floor use - but with good, consistent cleaning upkeep on my end.

Durability and one time application are most importaint to me.

I had great success with a rustoleum kit in my last garage i prepped very well. It lasted 6 years but started wearing away in small spots towards the end.

Thank you all as always. I plan to tackle in spring when weather cooperates in NY.

Reach out to RaceDeck and get a GJ member quote. I think you’ll be surprised how affordable it is compared to epoxy. I’ve done 4 garages with RD and I found it’s less than half the cost per sf of properly done epoxy.

If you liked Rustoleum you'll LOVE any system from Wolverine Coatings! (or, to be fair, from any of the vendors who participate here :) All in, including materials, sundry items and Eq rent, figure ~ $3.50 psf. BTW, neither plastic tiles or epoxy coating will "handle" welding. A good welding blanket is your friend...
