Cost to build addition Maryland

I have gotten some recent quotes from contractors to build a 15x20 additional garage bay onto my 2 car garage. Looking like $27-28k. Does this seem reasonable? I was thinking it should be more like $20k. Anyone in Maryland recently had a garage built? Thanks

How many quotes did you get?

Alot depends on finishes too in the quote.

5 - 6 ranging from 27 - 31k

Sheetrocked? Insulated? Electrical? Tied into you HVAC??

Point is that without knowing the structure, the foundation, the finished...the modifications to the existing building,nit is impossible to evaluate.

But... 5 or 6 quotes?? I'd say you now have a pretty good idea as to what it will cost..fir your job in your area.

20 x 15, tied into existing 20x20 garage, 9x7 door, not finished, electric run - yes, 3 walls would need to be erected, 6/12 pitch roof matching current roof pitch, scissor trusses.

Your costs will very with County. PG and Montgomery higher than Garrett or Eastern Shore probably.
