Getting to be time to start a building, wonder if $75,000 will build a nice 50x100ft with 14-16 eves. price to include materials and labor in Southwest Georgia 30 miles from Florida line. Would like to design it to look more like a barn than a regular metal building, might use some cuppolas-vinyl siding like that on house, would want at least 2 rollup doors 12X12 etc. Insulation in ceiling and walls.. I have priced some metal buildings without doors etc -priced at $35,000 delivered no labor, etc.. I would do some of labor-electrical-plumbing- grading work etc..would like to sub out heavy labor such as concrete slab, framing etc.. anyone built something like this recently if so do you think this will cover costs to build. permits are $200 with little restrictions since I am out in the country labor is fairly cheap if you can find someone willing to work.. I am just talking finished structure with no additions to inside such as living quarters etc.. Morton gave me a price over a year ago for a 54 x 105 with doors etc $75,000 with no slab-a little on the high side at that time-now probably a bargain. I have built my last 2 homes or should I say subbed them out with the last one built in 1998 here in Florida using CBS constuction = concrete block & stucco etc. only wood used was in trusses. it came in around $45 a ft finished with 2800 under roof-2000 living area. actually had quite a few extras in it. Now just the permits here in Florida for same house would be around $10,000 includes impact fees, another rip-off.

Here is a quote with doors- insulation - light panels in roof, etc.

Probably would not pay to get doors from them as freight is high.

60x90x14ft with 4:12 pitch = 5400sq. ft

Total delivered price $44,000 for 14ft eves---add$1400 for 16ft eves
Concrete runs around $75 per yard + labor would use around 140 yards includes driveway=$10,500 material only. Looks like I would have $55,000 in materials + add another $10,000 for misc materials = $65,000 + labor & misc costs = ?????

Would probably pour footers for support iron, then pour a floating slab freezing not a problem here.

You could do this for 75 but it might be tight depending on resourcefullness, another 25 would make it comfy enough to really make the place usable, plumbing, nice doors, good electric, cement

Sberry is correct. Mine was $20 sq ft for a 80x50 , no insul. 2 garage doors, 2 walk doors, 2 skylights, cement, no power (did myself). But that is 16 ft 150 mph.

The concrete finishing cost will be close to 2X the material cost. If you can find a crew to errect the building expect to pay $2-3 per sq ft. With the wind loading you have you need some stout foundations under the main frames, not just a footing. That's an engineered grade beam under mine not a footing. The other options are large footings and a piers to bolt the main frames to. My local building board wanted an engineered plan $$$ for the foundation your milage may vary. Gravel is $$$ here I have thousands in it..... Go talk to the building department if you have one and see what they want for the foundation. If you dont have to have this inspected I would talk to a structral engineer about the foundation ( might have to anyway if the county wants it) Call some concrete guys and get 3-4 bids if you can.

I would get a painted roof if your going to use the 4:12 pitch as it will be very visable

It didn't chip, it will scratch though. They give you a itsy bitsy little bottle of paint ( about 2oz) with an brush in the cap to touch up with. The painted panels are galvalume under the paint so even if it does scratch it will not rust

I've become quite attached to all of my junk and just can't seem to part with it, like a noose around my neck.
