I also have one of those SS toolboxes I bought at Costco, probably 25 years ago? Great tool box and I use the heck out of it, but haven't had this issue......good to see you found the solution. I agree, get some of those little bits 3D printed and you'll be good to go for the rest of the tool box's life!

Edit: Just took a flashlight and took a peek at mine, they don't seem to have the wear that yours do, even on the drawers with heavy stuff in it, and I don't have any shims under my wheels - I also know my floor doesn't slope particularly. I think if I ever start having the issue turning them around will do me for a good long time.

As others have stated, I keep my tool box leaning slightly backwards by shimming the front wheels.

Didn't read every reply but a few mentioned shims. I would take the front casters off and put a washer or 2 between the box and casters. quick and easy
