I've had the red 3.5ton jack for over 2.5 years. this week I found out it's making a squeaky noise when pumping up. so I took it a local Costco store to see what they can do about it.

well, I was told they'd just take it back and refund my money. the guy behind the counter didn't even bother to check the jack. the whole deal lasted maybe 2 minutes and the most time he spent was to locate the receipt on the computer.

I wonder if other companies can beat that.

Costco is fantastic. Heres my story.

Last year, I bought a Homak tool chest from there. When I pulled it out of the box 3 of the drawer pulls were dented. Homak sent me replacements but of course they were the wrong ones (after I gave them the correct part number - go figure eh?). Then I went around and around with Homak for a couple of months waiting for replacements. After getting pretty cheesed off for months of waiting I finally went to Costco to see if they could do anything (short of me loading the box in my truck and returning it). Believe it or not, Costco let me walk into the store with my own tools, remove 3 good drawer pulls from the display unit, install my damaged pulls, and then walk right out the store. How is that for customer service?

I love Costco. They arent always the cheapest but for service like that I dont care.

My mom took a digital camera back over a year after the purchase, the camera had stopped working and they refunded her all of her money no questions asked.
