I called our local Costco today & they have two dozen in stock. Too bad about the $45 membership fee though. Guess I'll see if anyone at work has a membership.

Thanks for the heads up.

Shows what I know Scott, I didn't know we had a Costco. I wouldn't mind getting a set to if I had any money left. Adam

Hi Adam.

I think the Costco has been around for about a year. The wifey sez that it is next to that new mall in WDM.

Btw, I have been MIG welding steel at work for the last week & a half. Guess that welding class is paying off.

I called and listed the part number located above and they did not have a clue. The lady searched for Work Gear. Nothing. I hate to travel the 50 mile to look over the selves.
Anyone have any additional information it would be greatly appreciated.

SIERRA05, when I called our local Costco I just gave them the item number that Tim240Z gave us, 657908, & the Costco person gave me their inventory count & price right away. Call again and push them a little bit.

The item number is correct. There are a couple of stores in the Seattle area (and others) that have (had?) them....

Woodinville has 12 (brand new location)
S. Ogden (Utah) has 16.
Clarkston (WA) has 8
Albany (OR) has 5
Seattle has 4

These are as of yesterday.
I have a contact that gave me this info and it was valid as of 8pm last night. I've got mine. The rest of you can have fun.

Everyone - Good luck...

None of the stores in Colorado have them they said the item is "active" but there is no information stating they are getting anymore. A friend of mine in California grabbed two more for me this afternoon. I highly recommend the item great quality and value.

After calling COSTCO and asking about this item, i was told they had no such item. Must be in training for McDonalds. Well, I decided to drive the 45 miles to get a few items at discount price and would look for my self.
Sure enough a big pile on an end display. $83.00. I got one, and almost wished I bought two. The type of parts containers and rack would run you $150.00 or so to buy it off of a dirrerent dealer. Thanks for the tip.

I bought two, but got to thinking that more would be nice (consolodate the parts to one box of drawers, then use the others for small parts, but my Costco is out of them now too :wtf:
Obviously they have had a lot of requests, as when I was asking the employee, and he stopped me and said "oh the box of bolts for 84 bucks?....no we are out of them....."

My local Costco at 8-Mile and Haggerty had run out, but just yesterday I was there and they had a new pallet full for sale.

A question for those of you who have bought these... What do you think of the quality of the hardware? Are these decent nuts and bolts and stuff like you would find in a good hardware store, or cheap junk you would be afraid to use on your wheelbarrow?

I haven't used any of the stuff yet, but upon eyeball inspection the quality appears to be good/OK. The washers are usually a real good indication and I looked at them closely. They are all of identical and consistant size and shape. The cheap ones usually have a lot of variation. I don't think that I would use any of the bolt and nuts on highly critical areas (high shear/structural), but for general use I think they will do the trick nicely.

Costco has them again. I've been looking for the last several weeks everytime I go in. Today, eureka, they had a whole pallet. I picked up two. Maybe give one as a gift or sell later.

This was is NW Washington state BTW.

I just went to Costco in Avon Mass today and they had the bolt and nut drawers. This store had at least 2 pallets which is about 100 or more of the units. The price was $84.99. A little pricey from what others have said they cost. They also had two different 41" rolling toolboxes. One had a file drawer on the top box and the other had all normal sized drawers. The second one seemed to be a real nice box. And I thought that $649.99 for each of them didn't seem too bad a price.

The box is marked "grade 5" and "metric 8.8" but the SAE hardware does not have any bolt-head markings. The hardware is really cheap/crappy stuff. I do not believe it is up to grade 5 specs. But the good news is that the drawer/organizer is really handy, and it's cheap enough you can afford to toss the hardware and restock with better.

Northern Tool has similar drawer/organizers but each drawer is purchased separately for around $15 and the rack is a good $40-50 as well. You'll have well over $100 in a set for the Northern version without any hardware in it. I got my Costco set for around $80, kept some of the small screws and miscellaneous items, gave the hardware to a neighbor, and bought some real Grade 5 hardware locally.

I have a couple of each brand, and the finish on the Northern items is thicker baked enamel and the steel seems slightly heavier gauge. If y'all want to see pictures of them compared side-by-side, let me know and I will snap a few.

Haven't seen any here in cental VA. at my local Costco. Some regions get them and some don't. Too bad they don't have them online.

I did get the rolling tool chest for $649 though. Looks like a real nice unit for the price! I WOULD NOT buy the Master Grip tools though. They are garbage.

Stupidjet -

The COSTCO in Sterling has/had a whole shelf full of them - I bought not only two sets of the hardware, but also their stainless steel tool chest set. I went back last week, and looks like they got restocked because they had even more than before.

Ha! That's funny. The Costco near me doesn't get the cool stuff. I like the stanless steel cabnet though. I'll have to ask about the nut and bolt kit next time I go up there.

Well, the Griot's kit states "The fasteners, fittings, etc. are high quality grades and are made in the U.S.A. and Germany. The metal racks and drawers are made in the U.S.A."

My Costco set was clearly labeled as made in China and the bolts in it were completely worthless. I bought them for the racks/drawers only.

I know the Norther Tool racks/drawers were USA made as I have a set of them and the metal is definitely thicker gauge. If the hardware in the Griot's kit is real USA and German grade-5 stuff, it's pricey, but much better quality than the Costco hardware.

Bringing this one up from the dead.

While picking up an Arcan jack, my Costco had the bolt & nut fastner kit for $40. However, it was a 2 drawer, rather, than 4 as before.
