My store Pleasant Prairie Wisconsin they are $30.00 with the pull chain. Installed 4 in garage and 3 in basement. They are worth the money and really bright. I can't believe the weight of them. My old 4 bulb florescent has a single ballast that weighs more then all of them.

There are bright...and I am very happy to have sunlight in my garage and basement.

Post up some PICs of lights . . . AND . . . picture of a RECEIPT.

Nearest Costco is way across town about 35 miles round trip . . .
. . . . plus, I don't have a membership !!

I"m pretty good at convincing Home Depot to price match though !! ;)

Does anyone have both the Costco and the Sam's club ones that can compare them? Are they better? Worse? The same?

This is what macgee said-
Get the Sam's, I think they have a wider beam spectrum & cheaper (per lumen) than the Costco version. Buy four of them in the same pattern. I agree, Absolutely hardwire them; installing outlets for them is redundant.

If it's too bright at times, you can easily install a dimmer at later date. The LED's are dimmable

Over here where they're talking about the differences & specs post#483

I went to my Costco today hoping to find them at $20, but no such luck, they were $29. I bought a pair anyway, I needed them..

$29 for the pair, or each? The website has them for $69 shipped free for a pair. Just want to make sure before I run to costco expecting the pair for $29.

Thanks!

No each. I used to work at Costco they only sell stuff in the package quantities they are shipped as. Meaning they wouldn't wrap two lights together and change the price.

Please post a picture of the receipt!

Does anybody know if Costco will match their other stores?

Question - has anyone noticed a plastic film over the LED "tubes"? Is this supposed to be removed?

I didnt read the instructions closely (Im a guy, after all) so I dont know if it says to actually remove the plastic or not.

Thanks.

I ditched mine. Probably doesn't make a difference however.

It's shipping film. I removed the film off mine after I was done putting them up. I've got 6 in my two car garage and it's one of the most well lit places in the house. Preferred these even if they're slightly less bright than the sam's club ones, because they can be flush mounted. The ceilings in my 1974 house are less than eight feet high so the less space taken up by a light fixture is all the better.

I suspect the discrepancy of $20 vs $30 lights is due to a power company subsidy. There were LED can light replacements at Costco last year and the regional prices were all over the map due to the subsidies.

Costco in Pleasant Prairie Wisconsin were $29.99 earlier this week. Have eight so far and they hard hard to beat for $30 bucks.

The Sam's Club ones in store are different than what's on the site. The in store ones are 4500 lumens and 240 LEDs. The specs for the model on their site shows 4200 lumens and 120 LEDs. The new ones are the same price though, $36 each. Same color temp, wattage and CRI between the two.
