Damn! I just paid $379 for one a month ago. That *****, but I am still happy with it.

Why would you think the heat mode is inefficient?
It’s not the mode that is inefficient from science prospective, it’s the windows gaps

Unless the heat mode uses a resistive strip (which I doubt unless your unit is 240v) instead of using the reefer cycle in reverse, heating should be more efficient than AC is. Do you know how it works? (probably in the manual). Do you know the model number? I kind of wanted one for a shed if they made them dual.
How it works is not in the manual but it does have heat, turn it on, and took about 10 minutes to switch over, it blows lukewarm air, max temp setting is 86 Deg F

Model.is the one on the first post I think it’s the 10k or 12k not too sure about the 8k ones

And yes it uses reversing valves

******* ok the one linked in the Costco u-shape does not have heat mode, the one I post also Medea non u-shape one does which is the one in the screen. Will get you the model later. It’s not in the apps

I have both , that probably confused me

New?
Says " renewed"
yes this one says renewed not sure what that means.... costco was selling the 12K u-shape this year for that price... the non-ushape last year was $279 or $249 don't remember but I got two non-ushape one still in box... IMO the Non-ushape has better components at least that louver motor wise.... they both cools fine
