I've had these mini hacksaws for a long time, 1 is a Snap On, other needs an ID. It just say "No 2627" on the handle, nothing else. I got it in a used tool box purchase about 40 years ago, and iy was old then. Any idea on a maker? Also, are blades available for the Snap On?
Thanks.

crickets?
It's hard to get IDs of tools unless it's a ratchet, socket, wrench or vise. They're what most folks use, and there's lots of them out there. These are also popular with collectors too. I've had a challenge IDing machinist tools, but admittedly these are highly specialized and doesn't seem to be much of a collector's market for them unless they're some kind of measuring tool like a caliper (though these are usually well-marked). Sometimes it's because of a tool being so obscure, who gives a hoot? There may simply be not much mechanics' interest in a mini hacksaw. Plus, it takes time to research this kind of item--someone's not likely to commit their time to such an endeavor unless they have some idea first what the ID might be (that's supposed to be your work as the owner!).

Try searching Google photos for a 'mini hacksaw'--you'd be surprised how many times you'll find a photo of what you're looking for with enough info to take it further.

Your Snap-On saw is old. If the Snap-On site doesn't list the blades, you may have to search out an after market one from a different brand. I don't think I've seen small blades like this with (what appears to be) a hole at each end.

Good luck!
