I have brass and steel or what ever they are. As log as the male and female are the same class they won't leak, regardless of material used.

I gave up on the HF couplers after having several of them split and leak. I bought Milton High Flows for everything, and have yet to have an issue since.

all depends on the end use..

changing tools 20-30 times a day in a working shop?
or twice a month in the garage?

even so, we typically get 6 -8 months of use from the couplers we picked up at HD we use in our working shop.

18-24 months on a good quality steel coupler.

for my garage, i buy them from HD, the HF couplers IMHO are ****
