Hi! This is my first time using the garage thread...everyone has great ideas for tough situations.

My question is, I have a vaulted gargae ceiling with exposed rafters. We have just recently insulated the ceiling with rolls of insulation and are now ready to finish off the ceiling. I am wondering if anyone has any good ideas as far as cost savings and simplicity to cover our ceiling. We want to keep the vaulted look, but not sure we want the hassel of hanging sheetrock and the hassel that goes with that. Any ideas?

Thank,
Dana

Dana,
I just helped a friend cover his ceiling and walls with 7/16" OSB.
looks pretty good for a garage plus gives you the benefit of fastening anything right to the walls without looking for studs.
OSB is cheaper than drywall right now and no mudding is necessary.
we did rent a drywall lift ($40.00 for one day) and installing the ceiling panels is very easy with a lift.
